Data controller

What we collect

The studio form asks for your name, email address, the sitting you are considering, an optional preferred date, an optional note about the market on your prints, and a message. If you telephone, we note the same kinds of details in the booking book. If you attend, the worksheet you fill in stays with you; the studio keeps only the administrative record that you held a seat, the fee received, and any refund correspondence.

Please do not send account numbers, resident registration numbers, or copies of identity documents. The training does not need them. If a message arrives with those details, we delete the attachment and ask you to resend the booking request without it.

Server logs of the hosting company may include IP address, browser type, and the page requested, used to keep the site available. The cookie note describes the choice stored in your browser.

Why we use it

We use inquiry details to answer you, confirm a seat, send transfer instructions, issue a receipt, and handle a cancellation or refund. We use a market note, when you give one, so the tutor lays out the right example size. The legal bases we rely on are your request before a contract, the contract once a seat is confirmed, and our legitimate interest in running a small studio — for example, knowing which evenings you have already attended so a follow-up sitting is not charged twice. Where Korean law requires consent instead, we ask for it separately and we record that you gave it.

Retention

Unanswered inquiries that do not become a booking are deleted after 24 months. Confirmed booking records, receipts, and refund notes are kept for five years where Korean bookkeeping rules require a tax record, and otherwise for 24 months after the last sitting in that correspondence. Telephone notes that never become a file are crossed out at the end of the season.

Sharing

Focus Helixway does not sell personal information. We share it with a bank when you transfer a fee, because the payment reference carries your name, and with an accountant if a receipt must be filed. A hosting provider processes connection logs. Tutors Seo Siwoo and Nam Yeri see the booking note for sittings they teach. We do not give student names to other students. Letters on the reviews page are published only with the writer’s permission, and you may ask for a letter to be taken down.

International transfers

The studio’s booking book and email are handled in the Republic of Korea. Website hosting and the font service described in the cookie note may process connection data on servers outside Korea. Where a transfer of inquiry content outside Korea becomes necessary, Focus Helixway applies the safeguards required by the Personal Information Protection Act, including contractual clauses where that Act expects them, and will tell you the country if you ask.

Your rights

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how it is used, and to receive a copy of an inquiry you sent. You may withdraw consent where processing was based on consent, without affecting earlier lawful use. To ask, email info@focushelixway.click with the address you used on the booking. We respond within the period required by Korean law, and in any case within 30 days. You may also complain to the Personal Information Protection Commission or another competent Korean authority.

Some records have to stay for the tax period even after a deletion request. If that applies, we will tell you what remains and why.

Children

Sittings are for adults. The studio does not knowingly collect information from children.
